This Assmann manufactured Pilots badge has got great detailing, especially around the wreath.
The manufacturers code 'A' can be seen on the obverse, at the top left of the wreath, while the letters 'D.R.G.M.' are found
on the top right.
Being made from aluminium, it is feather light in weight. It's so light it's actually eerie! I wouldn't
be surprised if many of these have been passed over as fakes because of this!
The example to the bottom is the same pattern but made from tombac. It shows no maker marks
but the details of the wreath and eagle match the example above.
